Verbena is athletic and balanced with three excellent gaits and a wonderful mind. She has good substance and is structurally correct. She has tremendous activity, both front and behind, and her extended trot is quite lovely. She inherits elegance and refinement from her TB mom and elasticity and engagement from her Iberian dad.

Verbena is light and easy to work with and leads, ties, bathes, clips, and stands well for the farrier. She is beginning her two-year-old training, which includes round pen work and introduction to the bridle, circingle, and long reins.

Verbena can excel in any sport horse division. She has the gaits for dressage, the athleticism for jumpers and the quiet mind for hacking out on the trail. She has an especially good canter and the scope for eventing.

Verbena is sired by the PRE Andalusian stallion Jalisco X, six-times champion in Spain. He is in the Spanish Book of Merit with championships in both halter and performance divisions. He competed successfully in open dressage after his importation to the U.S.

Verbena's dam is a multi-race-winning Thoroughbred Valentine Knight.
