SF Heredero |
Heredero is a model Pure Spanish Andalusian. He is compact, absolutely correct, moves like a speedboat with the bow out of the water, and has charisma to the nines. Even his walk is flamboyant. Basically, he is an exact copy of his sire, but in a red suit. He is the boldest, sweetest, most jaw-dropping colt I have seen. He is even exciting when he's standing still! Heredero has excellent bone and a substantial, square frame. His movement is straight and correct. He easily carries himself on his hindquarters and his neck is always proudly lifted.
Now, about that color: Ever since Spain began allowing the registration of chestnut pure Spanish Andalusians there has been a mad rush by breeders to produce red horses (it's a supply and demand thing...). Unfortunately, too many breeders have lowered their standards for quality in order to breed for red. Conformation, movement, and temperament have too often taken a back seat to color. Not with Heredero. At Serpentine Farm we refuse to compromise our standards for fad. We will not settle for anything less than perfect in our breeding program. With Heredero, you get to have our cake and eat it, too!
Heredero's future potential is unlimited; He absolutely must be a herd sire, and he will also excel in any athletic endeavor - dressage, doma vaquera, jumping, you name it! He is senstiive and bold, the perfect combination for fun training. He has done his round pen work and knows all the basics - lead, tie, stand nicely for grooming (his favorite), yield to pressure, and accept scary objects. He is gentle and respectful, just as future breeding and performance stallion should be.
Heredero is sired by the PRE Andalusian stallion Jalisco X, six-times champion in Spain. He is in the Spanish Book of Merit with championships in both halter and performance divisions. He competed successfully in open dressage after his importation to the U.S.
Herdero's dam is Dulce, by the
Denham-bred 16.2hh PRE,
Iberico D, who earned 2005 IALHA National top 5 awards in Hunt Seat and Western Pleasure. He now competes in dressage.
Dulce's dam, Querida CV, is the dam of Palido, who was ranked #11 top USEF Andalusian stallion in 2005 and #15 top USEF Andalusian stallion in 2003. Palido is the sire of multi-National Champion Amistad SL.
Dulce traces back to the great Spanish stallion Leviton on both sides of her pedigree.
