Paloma
(Pik Solo x Mamalert xx)
Oldenburg mare foaled 2001
Oldenburg MMB
TYPE:
Paloma is a large framed and solidly built mare from outstanding jumping bloodlines. She has big, floating movement and is as powerful as her 16.3hh size would suggest. She has proven herself to be a valuable broodmare, both as a producer of quality offspring as well as a loving mommy.
Paloma was a premium foal and she earned her place in the Oldenburg MMB in 2009.
When we purchased Paloma in 2004 she was unable to do much more than a shuffling walk, and her topline muscles were atrophied, following a bad wreck in a trailer two years prior. Hard work and lots of TLC have allowed her to return almost to her pre-injury state. She enjoys her life now, in the company of the other mares and foals.
OFFSPRING:
Paloma's first foal is the chestnut Iberian Warmblood filly SF Prestancia, by Jalisco X. Like her mother, Prestancia has a large frame and excellent bone. She absolutely defies gravity when she trots.
PEDIGREE:
Paloma is by the Hanoverian stallion Pik Solo. His pedigree includes such foundation Hanoverian sires as Pik As, Landgraf, Deullant, and Abglanz. Pik Solo sired several approved sons, including the great West Coast jumping stallion Palladium and the Oldenburg stallion Phantast. Pik solos' offspring have won in all phases of equestrian sport in national and international competition. They have also won in-hand throughout the U.S. and Canada.
